Azur’s wine lounge sits in the heart of downtown Napa’s booming wine, restaurant, and retail scene.
After stopping by our wine lounge, where else is there to go? There’s so much to do, it can be hard to see everything, especially if you have just a day or two for your visit!
We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite spots in downtown Napa to make it easy for you when charting your course through the Valley:
Our Neighbors on Clinton St, Napa
We chose our home on Clinton Street for a reason. A minute from the action of central downtown, yet slightly removed for some breathing room, Clinton St has centralized access to all of the happening spots in Downtown Napa – starting with our lovely neighbors!
Farmhouse is a unique interior design and lifestyle boutique right next door, straight out of a laid back, Californian-country-chic interior designer’s dream, with a beautiful mix of vintage farmhouse aesthetics and modern charm.
If you want to continue the wine tasting fun after Azur’s speakeasy, chic wine lounge experience, Housley is another warm house of hospitality passionately run by Adam and Tamera Housley, featuring great wine from their century Oak Winery paired with warm Napa vibes and wine country food and products for sale.
A little farther down the road is the Vintners Collective, featuring wines from several small production, family-owned wineries in Napa and Sonoma, as well as No Love Lost wines, pouring their own quality, estate bottlings.

It can be nice to switch it up from wine too – and luckily, downtown Napa has no shortage of quality breweries to choose from.
Two right next door to check out are Armistice Brewing Company, known for their cult-followed, ever-changing menu of experimental IPAs and English-style lagers, as well as Barnhouse Napa Brews, Eric Barnes and Adam Housley’s community pub, with locally-sourced artisan coffee, tea, beer, wine, kombucha, and ciders, along with tasty pub grub. Be sure to try their unique mead or coffee flights, and check out the “Shack in the Back” for darts and shuffleboard.

After you’ve built up an appetite from a long day of tasting the best wines (and/or beers) in Napa, Azzurro Pizzeria e Enoteca is an authentic spot for thin-crust pizzas and fresh artisanal pasta.
For a modern, casual dining experience, The Q Restaurant & Bar is a staple for American heritage eats, especially with their Memphis-style BBQ and craft cocktail bar.
And sometimes, you can’t beat quality sushi to soak up some of the day’s libations – check out Amami Sushi Bistro Napa, which boasts both fresh rolls and excellent customer service.
First Street Napa

There’s First St, which runs through the center of Napa, and “First Street Napa,” a shopping center right off of this main downtown thoroughfare. It’s a great spot to hit a wide variety of local shops, food, and sights right in the heart of the action.
A great place to start is the Napa Valley Welcome Center, with information to orient your Napa travels, a gift shop with California goods, and – maybe best of all – public restrooms right across the way for a pit stop.

First Street Napa is an ideal spot to get your shopping fix, with a mix of international retail and local artisanal shops .
Some of the best to see are Camino, a floral, Californian-inspired lifestyle marketplace, and its sister boutique floral shop, Bellevue Floral Co.
The Californian-bohemian vibes continue with Honey Whiskey Boutique’s modern, trendy, eclectic, and inclusive women’s wear, as well as the nearby Boho Lifestyle, a women-owned boutique wanderlust brand specializing in personal styling for all body types, body shapes, and personalities.
Other unique local shops include the Overland Sheepskin Co, specializing in versatile, premium leather jackets and sheepskin coats, and Copperfield’s Books, one of their nine community-driven, classic browsing hubs in NorCal.

Hungry? First Street’s Kitchen Door is a mainstay for eclectic American fare, served on their private patio or modern interior for brunch, lunch, or dinner.
If you’re in the mood for Napa valley views with your Sunday brunch or weekday dinner cocktails & small bites, check out Sky & Vine Rooftop Bar, on the 6th floor of First Street’s Archer Hotel. Besides shareables and craft cocktails, the venue has cozy fire pits and a private Whiskey Bar with 150+ rare and unique whiskeys ready to pour, all with great views of the surrounding valley.
There are also some great eats right across or a little stroll down First Street, especially:
The Dutch Door, a completely scratch kitchen with all locally-sourced, fresh sandwiches, wraps, and bowls
Contimo Provisions, another local artisan serving up breakfast, salads, and sandwiches, as well as locally-sourced, scratch artisanal provisions to take away to make an inspired meal at home.
Oenotri, a classic southern-Italian restaurant featuring a daily-changing menu of rustic Italian fare, all with locally sourced ingredients – and of course, great wood-fired pizza
The Ox and the Fox Bar, a local favorite for cocktails, beer, and wine alongside small bites, charcuterie, and the like (Check out their Happy Hour Sunday-Thursday from 3-5pm, or Trivia Night – a free event! – on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:30pm).
Main Street Napa

Our home on Clinton St is just a block from Napa’s Main St, which will take you all the way down to the historic Mill on the waterfront Promenade. With so many restaurants, boutique shops, retail, wine and more on Main, be sure to go where your heart leads you – and also stop in at the following jewels – along the way.
An international Jazz franchise, Blue Note is Napa’s premier jazz club and gourmet restaurant in one. Blue Note hosts world class music and dining in the first floor of the historic Napa Valley Opera House, creating nights to remember with each event.
TORC is also a soulful establishment, but for sophisticated yet relaxed, locally-sourced, dining, featuring eclectic farm-to-table dishes.
Western frontier feels meet rare wine shop at Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin’ BBQ in the heart of downtown Napa, where wines by the glass accompany savory slabs of barbecue ribs, and visitors can buy bottles from the shop’s rare wine selection.
For smaller bites, Zuzu offers tapas and paellas (even paella to-go!), and its sister restaurant La Taberna hosts a true tapas-only, first-come first-served experience in the style of a true Spanish tapas bar.
Veterans Memorial Park is a spacious park along the riverfront, near the center of Main St. Stop here for a casual picnic or to enjoy the day and watch the Napa River flow by for a bit.
Oxbow Public Market

Public markets and food halls are a gem of Northern California, and Downtown Napa has one of the best, allowing visitors to jump from one local artisan to the next, all within the same spacious hall – Oxbow Public Market. TheNapa Valley Wine Train is also right around the corner for those looking to jumpstart an adventure through the Napa Valley in vintage style.
A NorCal icon, Gott’s Roadside has a location here at Oxbow, offering farm-to table, fresh Californian burgers, sandwiches, shakes, and the like. Gott’s originated here in Napa from two brothers with a dedication to locally-sourced, very tasty Californian fare, and carries on the tradition 25 years later.
If you’re looking for comforting Mexican food (who isn’t, deep down?) C Casa Restaurant & Bar offers familiar favorites with a modern twist, and the ultimate mix of, handmade, locally-sourced fresh ingredients.
Speaking of fresh, Hog Island Oyster Co is among the freshest seafood you can find around these parts, as they grow their own sustainable oysters and other shellfish, and serve them up here beside one of the bends of the Napa River, along with other high quality seafood.

Smaller bites and sweet treats also abound at Oxbow, such as Model Bakery with its famous English muffins (of Oprah’s favorite things in 2021) and other baked goods, or Kara’s Cupcakes with its women-owned and operated offering of small batch cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and specialty bakes.
If you need something refreshing after all the sugar and goodness, Kara’s Cupcakes is right next door to its sister establishment, Bar Lucia, the perfect stop for rosé, Frosé, bubbly, and light bites.
If a different pick-me-up is in order, Oxbow is also home to coffee artisan Ritual Coffee Roasters, which responsibly sources high quality coffee from farmers they make it a point to personally know and provide a livable, fair price to for their excellent beans.
Artisanal shopping is in no shortage at Oxbow either, from the Fatted Calf’s selection of high end butchered meat and other gourmet items, to the Napa Bookmine at the Oxbow’s exciting labyrinth of books, to Whole Spice / The Olive Press’s gourmet spices and artisan olive oil.

A trip to Downtown Napa wouldn’t be complete without sauntering down the waterfront along the Napa River, where a welcoming host of shops and restaurants awaits you.
For a literally immersive experience along the Napa River, the Napa Valley Gondola Tour is available by reservation for scenic Napa River cruises in an actual Venetian-style gondola. You can even book special packages for special occasions – but be sure to book ahead, since reservations fill up fast!
After a cruise down the Napa River in the morning, you can enjoy brunch or lunch at the nearby Napa General Store, a quaint former general store in the historic Mill building with a shop (full of Napa and CA merch) and comforting American bites.
Sweetie Pies Bakery is another great option right next door for breakfast or just because – who doesn’t want an artisanal pie or pastry to go?
And for you coffee lovers, the Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Co is a local go-to for single-origin, small batch roasted coffee, with specialty options too (Snickerdoodle latte, anyone?).

When dinner time rolls around, Morimoto rolls out the red carpet with its high-end sushi, sashimi, and Japanese entrees in an open, contemporary, and eclectic space right along the waterfront.
Celadon is another great dinner (or brunch) option along the water, with global comfort food from the Mediterranean, Asia, Americas. Check out their outdoor patio seating for the full al fresco, Napa dining experience.
At the end of the night, The Fink welcomes locals and travelers alike into its warm, upscale hospitality within the “old boathouse” of the Napa River Inn, serving up specialty cocktails and, if you catch them on the right night, live entertainment.
